The Imperial Sovereign Court of the Wild Rose was founded in 1976. It has operated continuously since then, though under the jurisdiction of a couple different operating societies, the present one being the Imperial Sovereign Court of the Wild Rose Social Association (ISCWRSA). The Court is a member of the International Court System, which has over 70 members throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

The purpose of the Court is to plan, participate and create entertainment shows, community events and other revenue generating programs which raise funds to support designated charitable or community organizations.

Each year the ISCWR invites applications from its members for the positions of Emperor and Empress. These positions become the figureheads and leaders of the major portion of that year’s activities and are the primary representatives of the Court at functions and other events both in town and at many cities around the continent.

The demands of these positions are great. Current Procedures and Protocol www.iscwr.ca stipulate a minimum number of events that must be produced, and the application process questions the commitment to traveling of each applicant. The successful applicant must be willing to devote both the time and personal financial resources necessary to meet these obligations.

The Society generally requires that each applicant be a member in good standing, which under the bylaws of the ISCWRSA is defined as someone who has paid the membership fee and has attended 50% of the general meetings of the Society. The reasons for this are so that the applicant has a reasonable understanding of the operation of the Society and the Court before entering the position. The College review committee and the Executive Board may elect to waive this requirement if the situation and the specific applicant warrant such an action.

Voting for the position will be held on a date as determined by the Board. Voting is tentatively scheduled for August 13th, 2026 and will be confirmed no later than the Candidate Review. Voting is open to any individual who is over the age of 16 and can prove residency (proper photo and residency ID) in the area from the City of Red Deer north to the Alberta/NWT border. Coronation 2026 is currently scheduled for August 15th, and will be an in-person event.

The following form is the application form for the position of Emperor, Empress or Emprex. This must be completed in full and submitted and received, with all required attachments and fees no later than 11:59pm, Sunday, June 28th, 2026, addressed to the College of Monarchs. Applicants will be expected to attend the review committee meeting (College Meeting) which will be held on Monday, July 13th, 2026 at 7:00 PM at a location to be announced on the website and Facebook page. All candidates will be given a list of candidate shows and a link to the society bylaws, procedures and protocol at this time. It is the candidates’ responsibility to make themselves aware of this information. Campaigning will officially start on July 13th, 2026 following the college meeting.
